Joseph graduated from Ashford University with dual degrees in Social and Criminal Justice and Psychology. Joseph provides Case Management, CBRS, and Peer Support services to the clients at HSI.
He takes great satisfaction in his position knowing he is making a difference in the lives of others. Whether it is working with clients, volunteering at his children's school, or maintaining his family's Little Free Library, Joseph takes pride in positively contributing to the Boise community.
In his free time, Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Together they spend a lot of time in the outdoors; camping, kayaking, and adventuring. He also enjoys wood-working and reading.
As a disabled Army veteran, Joseph is a strong advocate of overcoming limitations. He believes that personal strength can be channeled through mental clarity.
His favorite self care activity is fly-fishing, which according to Joseph, provides him stress relief and a heightened peace of mind.
Andra has a degree in Human Services Management.
She has worked as a QIDP, Target Service Coordinator, Case Manager, CBRS, RBT (Registered Behavior Tech.).
Her favorite part of doing her job, is that she is not indoors locked up in a office, and likes to meet with her clients in different environments. Andra was a foster care provider and a CASA volunteer in Denton Texas. When Andra is no working she enjoys working with her hands making crafts, baking with one of her sons, camping, fishing and just being in the mountains.
She really enjoys spending time with her boys, and family game night with her extended family.
Andra's self care is binge watching some old TV shows with her husband and playing with her German Shepard.
Jessica Razer, BA works in our Community Based Services and our Substance Use Disorder Program specializing in Case Management. Jessica’s education is based on lived experience and academic experience focused in recovery and digital culture.
Jessica’s favorite part of the job is supporting participants in accomplishing their goals so that they can focus on doing the things they enjoy.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing board games with her family, painting and playing music.
Jessica also works with an artist/organization assisting previously incarcerated people with reentry through art.
Jessica’s favorite self-care practices are playing video games, running and cooking.

Darlene received her Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder and
University of Vera Cruz, Mexico – Intensive Spanish Program, bilingual
She was able to bring a wealth of experience from her past jobs where she provided casework services for child abuse, neglect and youth in conflict. Assisted families with services to establish safety and permanency. Worked as a Youth Advocate and Community Advocate, assisting members of the community, overcoming barriers to assist with education, employment, housing and stability. Provided mediation services to the public.
Helping clients overcome obstacles so they can accomplish their goals is one of her favorite things about working at HSI.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family camping, paddle boarding, biking and other outdoor activities.
Self-care for Darlene looks like long walks, reading and outdoor concerts.
Amy Stone is a part of our Case Manager/CBRS team. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northwest Nazarene University and works with our community-based program. Amy's favorite part of the job is finding practical ways to help people find hope in their day-to-day lives. During her down time, Amy can be found laughing with her kids or working on a new painting project. She is involved with her local church and helps support her kids' youth group. When life gets heavy, Amy takes care of herself by talking things through with loved ones, praying regularly, and meditating.
Vanyssa Marble works in our SUD and Community Base Services. Vanyssa specializes in Case Management.
Vanyssa attended Eastern Oregon University and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree for Psychology in 2015.
Her favorite part of the job is working with participants and seeing them achieve their goals.
When Vanyssa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. They like to attend concerts on a regular basis; as well as build show trucks and participate in car shows all over the country.
Vanyssa’s favorite self-care activity is to watch movies and go and get pedicures.
Susan has a BS, MBA and provides Case Management/CBRS services. She has 20 years of experience in HR. Susan joined HSI because of her desire to make a difference in the lives of others and has always gone by her own goal of "Trying to help the people she meets to have a brighter day". She enjoys trying to put a smile on people she meets.
Susan enjoys her time outside of work with gardening and working in her greenhouse, arts and crafts, refurbishing furniture, playing games with grandchildren (and anyone else she can talk into it) and her two little shih tzu puppies Mork and Mindy. Susan has a wonderful husband, sixteen grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren that she loves to spend time with when they can get together.
Susan's self-care practices are listening and singing to music, enjoying her Koi Pond, just going for drives and looking at nature, and attending Bible Study.
