Alyssa Peters has been within the mental health field in some capacity since 2008. She started out within the developmental disability sector as a behavioral interventionist. She did that for six years. She went on to secure her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boise State University in 2014. During her time in her master’s program at Northwest Nazarene University, she continued to work in mental health as a CBRS worker for local agencies. In 2017, Alyssa graduated with her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling with an emphasis in trauma and grief and loss. Alyssa’s passion is in leadership and teaching. She has held many leadership positions in the mental health field. She held the position of Program Coordinator for the Idaho Counseling Association from 2016-2017. She was the President of the Idaho Associate of Marriage and Family Counselors from 2017-2019. She gained her supervisor endorsement from the State of Idaho in 2020. Ever since then, Alyssa has helped many counseling students and counselors further their growth in the counseling profession. In the summer of 2021, Alyssa gained her clinical endorsement and became an LCPC. Alyssa operated her own successful private practice, Bluebird Counseling, from 2017-2023. Alyssa joined Human Supports of Idaho in the Fall of 2023 as their Director of Clinical Services. Her passion for professionalism and clinical development and her keen eye for healthy growth, makes her a wonderful fit for her role here at HIS!
When Alyssa isn’t working in the field, you can find her hanging out at home with her three-year-old daughter, husband, dog, and cat. Her favorite pastime and self-care routine is surrounding herself with her small circle and watching movies or hiking in the hills.
Sam received his bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Idaho and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University.
His specialties include crisis intervention and crisis management. Prior to working for HSI, Sam was a Designated Examiner and Clinician for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
Sam is a current member of the Region 3 Children’s Mental Health Board.
In 2023, HSI was awarded the region three Mental Health Court contract. Sam was the perfect person to lead the team in serving this population. Sam's passion and dedication to helping those struggling with Mental Health within the court system is unmatched.
Sam became the Director of Community-Based Services in the Summer of 2023. He lends his knowledge about the surrounding communities and the resources it offers in order to help our staff serve our clients the best way HSI knows how.
He enjoys spending time with his children, the outdoors, and is an avid sports enthusiast.
Greg Campbell works in our accounting department as the lead billing specialist.
Greg received his CMRS (Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist) Certification from the American Medical Billing Association in 2022. He didn’t know he had a passion for Medical Billing until he was given the amazing opportunity to take over billing for Human Supports of Idaho in July of 2019.
Greg has over 20 years of administrative experience and has brought many of his learned skills to his duties and HSI.
In December of 2023, Greg became the Billing and Administrative Manager for HSI where he brings his knowledge and fresh perspective to these two departments.
When Greg isn’t working he loves spending time with his family, his partner Ryan, and his Goldendoodle, Jax.
He loves to travel and gets an itch once every few months to get out of town and explore something different.
Greg is part of several nonprofit organizations in the Treasure Valley that work for those in the LGBTQ+ community who have the greatest needs.
Giving back is a huge passion of his, which is why he is so passionate about the role he plays at HSI.
Jessica Razer, BA works in our Community Based Services and our Substance Use Disorder Program specializing in Case Management. Jessica’s education is based on lived experience and academic experience focused in recovery and digital culture.
Jessica’s favorite part of the job is supporting participants in accomplishing their goals so that they can focus on doing the things they enjoy.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing board games with her family, painting and playing music.
Jessica also works with an artist/organization assisting previously incarcerated people with reentry through art.
Jessica’s favorite self-care practices are playing video games, running and cooking.
